During our first class we had time to create patterns looking at each others face on top of a collage and then develop that into patterns. Interesting fact was that we had to draw the face with continuous line which made it pretty difficult to keep all the details. After repeating the process few times I learned that continuous line drawing really helps me look at whole characteristics of the face not just small details. During the process on using the app ‘KaleidaCam’, I found weakness where I could have used more variety of colors. Some patterns included some colors but looking at the results I felt I needed some improvements on using more colors and to be more drastic when it come to using them. I was surprised by how art can come from anything. I had no clue at the first place when we were doing the continuous drawing but looking at the whole process of that drawing on top of a collage becoming a pattern, I was mesmerized by how there are countless options I can make to create art.
