TOOLBOX 10 PPD

In the first part of the class we looked at different presses for the product. I still remember looking at the press of Gucci promoting their product collaborated with Disney. It delivered the message clearly to the readers. Looking at the press, I also wanted to make sure my press include words that makes it interesting for the viewers. The layout was another challenge that I faced because I had to be conscious on not to put too many photo which might distract the readers. During this process I felt I need improvements on using photoshop in order to layout using different tools and to make it look more interesting in certain aspects. Although after the first adobe class with Tam, I do feel more comfortable using variety of tools, especially when I layout photographs.

We used rest of the time today experimenting on the layout for the presentation and I also got an opportunity to get feedback from Sarah. First of all the layout part was the extension of Toolbox 9 when we had to layout the photographs that I took. It was now lay outing the whole five presentation pages not just one. All of them had to show some kind of connection in order to show my ideas and product clearly. Sarah suggested me to play around with layouts by trying different degrees and sizes. Also since I am interested in design, she suggested me to put as many process works such as doodles or quick sketches that approaches my final product design. I’m still trying different layouts and styles in order to give certain connections to all five presentation pages, experimenting using similar color theme or photo layouts or even the fonts.
