TOOLBOX 9 PPD

Today our group had to take photos of the product to use it as a material to advertise our work. I worked with Tiffany and she modeled for my product. Trying different poses and shooting from different directions I was able to take good photos that shows my product well. In some point I used lots of hand gestures to emphasize the flower pattern that I got inspired from the V&A outing.

I was able to find connection on the media outcome especially for the flower patterns. I can say that by using a product that was already out in the market gave me an impression that it can be more easier to connect to customers. Although it wasn’t enough to express my work shape wise. Looking at the photos it still gave the impression that I was looking forward to. The editing part took most of the process in my case. I’ve experimented using different layouts and little backgrounds that adds up the mood of the whole board. The editing was an extension to the photograph. By changing the layout, the part that I emphasized changed. For example putting a hand gesture photo at the center gave most attention to the hands not the product. As a solution I’ve placed photos that adds the mood to the board at the side in smaller sizes. At the center, I’ve placed the best photo that shows the product and leads the whole mood. Also I added contrast between photos to make the patterns of the product show up better. The whole process gave me a basic idea on how to layout in order to show my work efficiently.
